The themes for September are: “Recapitulation – Release”.

Recapitulation is a recapture, remembrance, and retelling of experiences, choices, actions and relationships from the past in order to digest, neutralize and file them away without any residual emotional charge. The release is the act of letting go of any attachment to the emotional content of the past event or memory. 

This includes nostalgic reminiscences of “good times” as well as reminders of traumatic or uncomfortable experiences we would rather forget. What is being recapitulated usually holds some degree of judgment or comparison, with the attachment to how we have defined it holding the memory hostage until it is released with a good deep sigh into neutral territory.

Why is this coming up now? We are in major preparation (and have been for a while) for a time marked by crisis that could initiate a turning point where choices and decisions have a long lasting and powerful influence over our spiritual and emotional evolution. Part of this preparation is to go inward to reflect on where we have been and where we wish to go. This process is being supported by material from the past flowing through our conscious and unconscious fields much like snippets from a film, a frame here and a frame there. In order to move forward we need to deal with the past.

Relationships you have not thought of in many years may show up in your dreams, memories or even in your physical reality. Events you wish you would have handled differently may surface in your remembering, giving you another chance to reconcile and forgive. You are recapitulating parts of your life that for some reason need to be remembered and reset to neutrality. So, whatever is coming up in your reminiscing is what still holds some charge or emotional attachment. This is not about completely erasing your past history but rather bringing the experiences into the present for refiling them into a neutral library of where you have been, what you have done and whom with.

Expect surges of energy this month that invite action but watch for impatience and make sure you honor right timing especially around big decisions. When space is created through release and completion, keep that space open for whatever is next to flow in with right timing instead of being tempted to force the action. Wait for clarity and relax into whatever the new cycle will bring in without effort.  

There is also a focus on beauty this month. What is beauty, and have you paid enough attention to it recently? You may be inspired to change or improve something in yourself or your environment to acknowledge beauty. Cleaning up clutter is a good place to start.

If you are challenged by delays or feeling unsettled, confused or unclear, be patient, flexible, adaptable and willing for something new to emerge when the timing is right. Make space for your inner voice and use your heart as a compass when faced with a choice or decision. Pay attention to your dreams, trust your intuition, and give yourself time to “be” rather than “do”. It is a potent time to explore your inner world of spirit, imagination and unseen allies and support.

If you allow this inner process without resistance, this will be a fabulous month as you will be able to gracefully move through what is ending and just as gracefully embrace what is changing, evolving and being reset.

YOU PERSONALLY

This month is one of the most powerful opportunities for personal growth and moving beyond old patterns, limiting beliefs and personal attachments. The discipline is the practice of separating yourself from the need to know, the need to fix what isn’t yours to fix, and any irritation that may come up this month. The personality may have a hard time however if you follow the intelligence of your heart, you will always know when you are on the right track.

The recapitulation of the past may bring up memories, emotions, regrets, confusion and possibly even anger as you revisit karmic situations, old relationships, and major choices in your life. There is a strong portal for second chances. The second chance may be an opportunity to forgive and release or it may be more concrete such as giving something or someone that never came to fruition a second chance. The main focus should be to give yourself a second chance in this process of recapitulation. You will feel permanently changed in some way if you can stay with this discipline. 

RELATIONSHIPS

The relationship we will talk about here is your relationship to your past including events, people and personal experiences. If someone from your past enters the present either through memories or actually in the physical, it is something to pay attention to. Ask the question, “Why is this person, event or experience showing up in my field now? Is there something I need to clear up, forgive, or release?” Open up communication, either virtually or actually, with the intention of doing whatever it takes to come to neutrality.

Second chances may include resetting a relationship on a different footing, completing karma in a different way, or virtually make a different decision or choice. This is about clearing energy from the past and redefining your relationship to what has gone on before. When actual people from your past are involved, it is an opportunity to forgive and release them from whatever emotional or spiritual debt you may be holding them or yourself to. 

HEALTH AND THE PHYSICAL BODY

An excellent month to focus on beauty as it applies to your physical body and inner health. Since we are in a time period of extreme change, the body is challenged. To keep up with the changing energies, the body needs to be supported with anything that is of a higher vibration. Essential oils, joint support, deep tissue massage, sound healing, shamanic support, acupuncture, a good clean diet and any form of energy work will help the body keep up with the upgrading frequencies and the solar energy driving evolution at this time.

Be kind to the body, don’t drive it to action, keep exercise fluid instead of harsh, drink lots of water and allow it to rest and rejuvenate. If you don’t support it, it will rebel and go down with disease, exhaustion, and some condition that may force a necessary break. Some form of a cleanse is a good idea. Support the adrenals and thyroid as they are vulnerable and strive for balance. Seek help when needed and try to stay away from stressful situations, especially drama that is not yours.

Recapitulation, forgiveness and release may be all about how you have treated, judged, ignored or misused your body in the past. You are being given a second chance to claim and anchor a new relationship with it, making a commitment to acknowledge its beauty, magic and perfection.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS AND PROJECTS

This is a good time to revisit projects that have been put on hold. Some may get a second chance, either for a better completion or a restructure, and some simply released. New projects may be started but be wary of initiating anything from “thinking it through” especially if obstacles or delays seem to be a challenge. It is best to use your imagination this month to prepare for new ventures through dreaming them up, gathering support, listening to your inner wisdom and being patient. More is not better is where the new paradigm is going. The global greed pattern is being questioned and there is motivation to release unnecessary baggage, things you will never use, and the excess of anything not serving you in the present. Keep this in mind when reflecting on life’s purpose, what makes you happy, and what you want out of business, projects, and partnerships for your future. Right timing is everything this month, so, wait for what is right

ENVIRONMENT

Surges of energy manifest in continued weather extremes. Weather will change the environment. This unpredictability will continue for the next several months so it is best to release any attachment you may have to how you may expect the weather to be. There is a need to be adaptable especially when new weather patterns that are different from past cycles seem to be here to stay. 

External weather can be a barometer for your own personal inner weather. Pay attention to what is going on inside, whether it is turbulent and stormy or a drought with a lack of life force and inspiration. Changing your inner landscape to allow for more balance will affect the outer landscape. 

This is also good month to work more deeply with the elements to balance your relationship with them. Earth, air, water, fire, and elements of the mineral kingdom can be a big support once you have recapitulated any negative experiences you have had with them in the past that are still emotionally charged.

In terms of your personal environment, focus on cleaning, decluttering, creating spaciousness and beauty.

DATES AND TIME FRAMES

September 1-7

The beginning of this month is influenced greatly by the recent Full Moon in Pisces. We are still in its field of discomfort, closure, the need for patience and the initiation of the process of Recapitulation. If something is ending, help it along. The space created may feel energetically uncomfortable but beware of filling it too fast with the next thing. Space is good and should be celebrated as a path to deep inner change.

This is a good week to anchor some practices that will keep you balanced. Pay attention to your feet as they are symbolic of what has carried you through the past and will be carrying you along your path into the future. A thorough foot massage or soaking them in Epsom salts will help them release whatever they may be holding related to the past. Try a walking meditation that includes acknowledging their power to connect you to the earth. 

This may also be a time when relationships or snippets from the past begin to filter into your dreams and consciousness. Pay attention, hold them in gratitude, think of the second chance, practice forgiveness, neutrality and release.

September 8-15

Recapitulation during this time frame may include issues regarding finances, responsibilities, successes, failures, and dealings in the physical world. It is important to take responsibility where it is yours and to stay out of martyrdom and blame, and to recapitulate where you may still be holding someone or some situation in debt. Since this may be a somewhat turbulent time where others may be acting out or projecting their discomfort on to you, appropriate boundaries are important to set and keep.Remember to make time for your inner work which may include carving out alone time without distraction. This may require putting your own needs first and using good boundaries. Even though you may feel some limitations to your ability for manifesting expansion at this time, use your imagination to dream big using your heart as a compass. In time the dreams will manifest if they are aligned. Be patient.

September 14

September 15-23

Watch, listen, reflect, be in gratitude, be disciplined and pay attention. Open your senses, open your intuition and allow change to guide you. On the heels of the New Moon in Virgo, we are in a transformative time where big change is possible. There is pent-up energy that needs releasing so watch for outbursts and movement where there was stagnation. Be careful with extremes and always strive for balance. Don’t take anything personally but be responsible for any of your own extreme reactions. 

We are in the beginning of a new cycle and this is a time when right timing can show up around a major decision or project. You will need to strengthen your trust in spirit, your allies and your own personal path and medicine. This is also a potent window for people to show up from the past and potential for second chance opportunities.

September 23

Equinox (fall in the northern hemisphere and spring in the southern hemisphere) is Saturday, September 23 at 12:49AM.  We welcome in a new influence of Libra, softening the drive to be organized and practical. We can honor a new reality and understanding, acknowledging a new sense of maturity from recapitulating and releasing the past. Reflect on your decisions as with every decision made over your lifetime, something is left behind. It is advisable to do a ritual of some kind in honor of what you leave behind with a focus on further releasing any energy leftover.

September 24-30

Marked by both a need to not put things off that can be handled now, as well as the need to slow down, relax and pace yourself. This time frame may feel a bit disjointed with pushing and pulling influences at the same time. Stay grounded and balanced and keep disciplined with your practices and recapitulation, continuing to open your senses and to trust in your intuition. 

The energy is moving now and you may feel a new inspiration around relationships. Be sure to nurture the new or renewed ones coming into your life and continue letting go of any old relationship attachments. It was what it was, it is what it is, and it will be as it will be.
