And while it is lovely to decide what we want to do, this focus will serve us all, as we resolve to be the love that we are. I wish you all joy as you ring in the New Year and treasure your presence in my life.

Message from the Angels

My dear friends, we love you so very much,

As you prepare for your New Year, take a little time and ask yourself, "How do I want to move through the year? What type of person do I wish to be?" While resolutions, hopes, and dreams are important, who you choose to be has far more impact on your life than what you choose to do.

Our wish is that you choose to be kind, compassionate, and loving—and that you extend this grace first to yourselves. Our wish is that rather than trying to be the one who is "right," you strive to be one who is understanding. Rather than being judgmental, perhaps you can make peace with simply discerning what and who is right for your own life.

Dear ones, you can be the light, the love, and the peace that you truly are. You can be the lovers when others hate. You can be the uplifters rather than those who commiserate with the negativity around you. You can be the peacekeepers while others divide. You can be the ones who see the value in all things and all beings—and who are willing to dive a little deeper to understand one another rather than judge.

Your world needs this light, love, and understanding. It needs this grace. And it must start with one soul at a time—one brave soul who chooses to love and care for themselves first, and then extends that kindness outward.

You need not save the world. You need not like or agree with all that you see. But you can extend love as an act of grace by simply praying for all, imagining light flowing toward all, or glowing within all. You can turn the other cheek, away from the darkness, and focus instead on the love that is flowing to you at all times.

You can be the ones—perhaps the one—who creates the tipping point on your Earth toward peace.

So as you focus on your resolutions, hopes, and dreams, by all means, we want every single one of your wishes to come true. And we will, as you allow, guide you to them. Our offer to love you and calibrate your energy is there every minute of every day, whenever you choose to sit, breathe, and receive.

Most of all, however, we wish for you a year of feeling like the real you—the lover that you are, the peaceful soul that you are, the one who values yourself, your time, and your resources enough to take care of yourself first, to fill the well, and then spill your love out into the world.

Message from Ann...

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year to all of you! I am so blessed to journey with you!

It has been a wild year, to be sure, but traveling through it with the knowledge that there are so many committed to living in the light, with greater love, lifts my heart. It isn't always easy. We're in the teenage years here on Earth, and the contentious energies have been exhausting for many sensitive souls.

But the Divine remains constant. The flow of love is always there. The good remains in human hearts, and as we focus on it and amplify it, we draw it forth. A person can be complaining mightily, and a bit of humor or a gentle shift toward something lighter can change an entire conversation. We can feel near dead and down, and then rest, self-love, and a return to good habits can lift us again.

This vacation, all I wanted was simple—rest, exercise, and as much time in silence as possible, other than the festivities.

I'm counting my blessings this year. Family members who came close to the edge are still alive. A friend who had life-saving surgery last year is still alive. And a dear, close friend who went into the emergency room on Christmas Eve was saved from a very close brush with the other side as well, thanks to the medical angels providing incredible care. I am giving thanks for the miracle of life and love, and praying for healing for all moving forward.

Who do I want to be this year? I asked myself the angels' question. I want to continue to be compassionate, kind, and loving. I want to be joyful and inspiring. I also want to be more vital and in balance in my body and mind.

As I pondered the year and what I could do to improve, one area stood out: I need to walk more slowly, exercise more regularly, and treat myself with greater care. I want to be more intentional with my actions and focus more clearly on the projects I'm guided to accomplish. I got a little overwhelmed near the end of the year with the constant tugs and pulls on my spirit and realized I'd wobbled away from my practice of taking time in silence to hear my own heart.

It feels so good to hear "nothing" for hours at a time during this vacation. I pause in my own home, admire the lights, and listen to the peaceful quiet that wraps me in a blanket of soothing grace. More of this, please.

So as we all travel into a new year, let us start first with kindness, compassion, and gentleness for ourselves. Let us be understanding with our own hearts and commit to our own care. From that space, the desire to share your love with the world will arise naturally in a variety of ways.

For some, it will be external—a desire to do something. For others, it will be quieter—more of an inside job, emanating light and good energy for a world that deeply needs peace. When we receive love from the heavens or from ourselves, we have more to give. And when we give, we too receive.

Here are a few questions to help you stay in the ever-flowing stream of love as we move into the new year:

1.   How can I be more loving to myself?

We must start with kindness to self. We can't give what we don't have. The answer will be different for everyone. Maybe it's more water, more rest, or taking a few more pauses. Maybe it's countering every self-criticism with one kind thought. Maybe it's saying yes more often to what inspires you, and no more often to what doesn't. Or perhaps it's clearing a little clutter to create more breathing room in your home. 

Each one of you will have an answer arise naturally if you ask this question. 

Do your best this year to take one small action a day to be more loving to yourself. 

2. How do I like to share love?

This, too, is very unique. Some of you like to share kind words. Some like to volunteer. Some like to feed others. Some of you like to sit in appreciation for life and emanate good vibrations. Some pray. Some fix vehicles, while others fix bodies. Every person on earth has a unique way that they like to share love. Just ask the question and see what arises naturally.

Rather than loving as you should, love the world in the way that comes naturally to you.

3. How can I be the peace?

The world needs more peace—not in the form of agreement, but in the form of a willingness to understand one another. Perhaps you can ask more questions and make fewer assumptions. You can meditate and emanate peaceful vibrations. You can be kind and soothing when you sense others are tense. Or you can simply resolve to live your own life in peace.  There are so many ways to contribute.

As we move into the new year, I wish you a heart filled with love, a mind filled with peace, a body filled with vitality, and a spirit that knows you are precious, unique, and a beautiful, important part of creation.
