Mars Moves Into Leo: It's Time to Stop Shrinking and Shine, Sharon-Ann Riley, 28 September 2026

September 28th – November 25th, 2026

Having recently released under the Full Moon in Aries, the energy now completely shifts.

Mars, the planet of action, drive, and courage, has left the emotional waters of Cancer and roared into bold, radiant Leo.

If the last few weeks felt protective, sensitive, and a little tired, this is why. Mars in Cancer made us want to hide, heal, and guard our hearts.

Mars in Leo wants us to be seen. 🌟

Laying Your Coat Over the Mud

Mars in Cancer was thick, heavy mud. It forced us to slow down, feel every step, and look at where we felt drained or unprotected. But we are not meant to sit down and live in the mud.

Mars in Leo is the act of throwing a rich coat right over the puddle and walking across with your head held high. 👑 The heavy emotional processing is done, the lessons are logged, and it is time to step out of defense mode and back into clean, confident action. 🏃‍♀️✨

🔄 Breaking the Cycle of Silent Resistance

Psychologically, Mars in Leo demands an end to passive waiting. Staying small does not keep us safe; it simply keeps us stuck. This transit marks the exact moment where quiet endurance transforms into active alignment. 🎯

Real transformation does not happen through vague intentions; it happens through decisive, committed choices. As this double fire energy builds alongside the momentum of the Year of the Fire Horse 🐎🔥, the resistance you encounter is simply the old cycle holding onto your past trajectory. Mars in Leo asks you to make deliberate, unwavering choices that honor your future self rather than your past conditioning.

Every time you choose visibility over hiding, boundaries over people-pleasing, and authentic expression over silent compliance, you rewrite the script.

What Does Mars in Leo Mean?

In astrology, Mars is how we take action. Leo is who we become when we stop apologizing for who we are. ♌
This transit brings:

The Courage to Be Visible

You may feel a strong push to stop waiting in the wings. Projects that stalled, conversations you avoided, and creative ideas you kept quiet now want momentum. Mars in Leo says: lead with your heart, not your fear. ❤️ It asks you to step into your own internal authority, knowing you no longer need anyone else's permission to occupy space.

❤️ Heart-Led Ambition

This is not about hustle for applause. 👏 Leo asks a deeper question: Is this ambition truly mine? Between now and November 25th, we are being asked to pursue goals that feel authentic to our soul, not just impressive to others. When you act from the heart, your work carries a natural presence that never has to fight for attention. ✨

🔥 A Return of Creative Fire

Leo rules creativity, joy, romance, and self-expression. 🎨 Inspiration that felt hard to reach in recent weeks now flows easier. If you have felt creatively blocked, or hesitant to trust your original voice, expect a spark to return. 💡

How to Work With This Energy

This is a two-month window (Mars stays in Leo until November 25th), so you do not have to rush. You do have to act.

DO:

🚀 Take one brave step toward a dream you have been putting off

Speak up for what you desire clearly, confidently, and without editing yourself for the room

🎨 Create something just for the joy of it, honoring your original spark

Hold clean, noble boundaries rooted in self-respect rather than defensiveness

👑 Let yourself be celebrated and own your unique worth

REGAL AWARENESS:

👑 Royal Composure: If a moment tests you, pause. True nobility never needs to defend its crown.

💖 Radiating from Within: Act from pure passion and joy rather than a desire to perform. True warmth simply shines.

🔥 Conserving Your Flame: Save your fire for what truly inspires you, ignoring small distractions.

You do not have to force the fire or prove anything to anyone. Moving forward isn't about performing; it is simply allowing yourself to walk on clear, solid ground with quiet self-respect. 🌿
