The theme for March is: “All About The Heart”

We could have put many themes on this intense month but the bottom line is that the focus is on the heart; relationships, issues around love, healing the wounds of the ego and dealing with old patterns (some ancestral) around self-worth, betrayal, regrets, and karma. Phew!

March also promises some upheaval and unexpected shifts supporting change and transformation. This does not come without challenge and potentially painful truths, but is necessary in our personal evolution. There are many cycles ending and many cycles beginning this month forcing the letting go of past attachments and welcoming in new beginnings. There is also a powerful opportunity to heal and reset certain relationship issues especially around particularly important relationships or ones that have affected you deeply in some way. Emotional triggers will give insight into what needs tending to, what needs to be forgiven, eliminated or changed. If you find yourself waking up in the middle of the night obsessing about something that happened in the past around a relationship, take it as a sign that some work is still needed to heal and release the event.

This month is also very much about values and this is where the heart comes in. What do you value? Not just from an intellectual place of an imprinted blueprint of success or expectation, but from an authentic and intuitive sense of yourself, what you love and what makes you happy. Two powerful eclipses this month create dynamic energies that will have all of us a bit unsettled, ungrounded, grumpy at times, feeling victimized at times, angry, resentful and potentially despairing. Remember that there is always help along the way and evolution only goes in one direction. This is a necessary time of putting to rest old relationship wounds especially those attached to the ego, and integrating karmic lessons as part of your personal growth.

There is a need to set the mind aside as it is not the job of the intellect to set the path forward. The heart needs to take the reins and, using its intuitive intelligence, set a direction that is aligned with your emotional truth and values. The recalibration of the past couple of months of how, where, and for what you use your energy, and what motivates you in your actions and decisions, acts as an important foundation now to support the clarity of your heart and its intuitive truth. Trust is a big theme this month as well. As we navigate the minefield of emotional challenges, keep in mind that spirit never hands us more than we can handle.

Do everything you can this month to get support from your allies, your community, your spiritual practices and your own inner determination and optimism. The reward will be a sense of freedom from obsessive attachments and clarity around a bright new path forward, the path of the heart.

How the month shows up:

YOU PERSONALLY

The main theme this month for you personally is around love; giving and receiving love, self-love and relationship to your own heart, values, purpose and authenticity. It is time to put yourself first by freeing yourself from your attachments to old ego wounds as they are only holding you back. Do you value yourself? Do you love yourself? Do you love yourself enough to eliminate and release toxic situations, beliefs, reactions and thought processes?

This is a powerful month for taking responsibility for your own path and your own truth. Personal empowerment comes from facing challenges, accepting change, acknowledging and embracing what you value and setting good boundaries and protection around the truth in your heart. Not the easiest month to navigate, but well rewarded in the end if you stay present with what is surfacing for you to deal with. Remember to use your allies, and lean on your support system and practices to guide you. It is definitely not a month for falling asleep at the wheel. Take advantage of the opportunity for transformation the month provides and always come from a place of compassion for yourself and others.

RELATIONSHIPS

A challenging month for any relationships that are either out of integrity or that need to be healed and reset. Because of the discrimination of the year, guard yourself against rejection triggered by emotional ego wounds and be careful not to reject others from that place. Take responsibility for your part in any relationship that is under emotional scrutiny or upheaval. Think before you communicate something that you wish you could take back later no matter how much it feels like an important truth to tell. Kindness, consideration and compassion are your allies this month when dealing with difficult situations. Have patience with yourself and others and acknowledge anything that gets triggered as an opportunity for closure, healing, and/or a reset.

Your relationship with yourself is also important to consider this month especially around issues of love, self-esteem and value. What is your relationship with your health and physical body? What is your relationship to your spiritual life? What is your relationship to trusting your own value?

HEALTH AND THE PHYSICAL BODY

Issues around love and support tend to manifest in the hips, knees and ankles so pay attention to those areas of the body and take extra care of them. And if you do have issues in those areas, consider that there may be a pattern that requires your notice and recognition. Some of these patterns may be ancestral and have little to do with how you experience your life in the present however if they are showing up, it is for a reason, and you should set intentions for them to clear and transform as needed.

It is important this month that you pace yourself and take plenty of time around activities and commitments to process whatever material comes up around present experiences. Your physical health will be directly related and therefore directly influenced by your mental and emotional well-being. So don’t take anything personally and practice as much neutrality as possible even as you take responsibility for uncomfortable personal growth situations. Remember that this is the year of the snake and snakes shed their skin when growth occurs. It is uncomfortable but necessary.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS AND PROJECTS

Major decisions should be on hold however choices made around relationships and aligned partnerships should be managed as they come up. What has not worked in the past for you needs to be examined so you don’t make the same choices and decisions. This is also a great month to be breaking old patterns (some ancestral) of lack and scarcity. We have some good opportunities toward the end of the month to experience personal abundance and prosperity in a new way based on the reflection of values and resetting some of our dreams to a better alignment. Your relationship to money, projects and success in business may go through a healing and reset process as negative past experiences may surface to be forgiven, completed and released.

In general, in regards to our productivity, it is still a time of recalibrating how we use our energy, and gaining more clarity on what motivates us from the heart and not the mind. Use your intuition when weeding out practices and people that no longer support your goals. Be a little ruthless and set boundaries when you need to. ENVIRONMENT

As emotions, relationship issues and old ego wounds are heating up, so is the earth. We are due for some volcanic activity somewhere and each one of us needs a release valve in our own personal environment. Often this takes the shape of physical movement or creative expression. Try not to go the route of destructive habits as your release valve. They will not serve you in the end. The foundations are being shaken up so no surprise if there are also earthquakes to support what is happening on a larger scale. Remember that the earth always reflects what is going on inside. Big events will be reflected by big events.

In terms of the theme of the heart, it would be very helpful to spend time out in nature in gratitude and appreciation for the unconditional love and support that the natural world and the elements have for us. If you want help with support and communication, talk to the trees. If you want help with clearing and clarity, listen to the wind. If you want more flow in your life, work with water. If you want something to truly transform and be released, use the spirit of fire.

DATES AND TIME FRAMES

March 1-7

Watch for emotional triggers here as they may catch you by surprise when you least expect them. They will most likely have to do with relationships. Stay out of judgement, blame, shame or martyrdom as you process them with as much neutrality as you can muster. Old wounds that you thought you dealt with may be right around the corner surfacing for one last time to be forgiven and put to rest. Be proactive with this process by discovering what the dynamics and patterns are that have influenced the difficult situations you have experienced. Where did they come from? Can you release them?

This may be somewhat of an intense week where you feel an aggressive need to speak your own truth in reaction to a trigger or a release of pent up resentment. Use compassion, diplomacy and thought before you rant and consider that movement forward for you can also be gracious, kind and gentle and achieve the same goal of being heard.

This is also a good time to start or energize a project that has been on the back burner for a while provided you receive a clear message and green light to move ahead. Take advantage of what is showing up for you instead of reaching out in search of what is next.

March 8-15

Daylight savings time change in the US begins at midnight March 8/9.

This time frame brings clarity to the intuition of the heart and you may begin to trust that intuition when you know something just feels right. The intellectual “why” of it may come much later so don’t try and obsessively “think it through”. Try and define your experiences by what you feel instead of what you intellectually know. This can be a confusing time for some of you who are caught between imprinted traditional ways of thinking from the past and what is showing up to be true in the present. This is also a time when karmic situations or relationships can come up either for a contemplation of lessons learned, or an observation of what still needs to be processed for completion. Personal growth is on the table but it may come via some challenges. Keep your eye on the power of the medicine that comes with each challenge, and the freedom that comes with every positive completion.

March 14

Full Moon with a total lunar eclipse in Virgo is Friday, March 14th, at 12:55 AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). Also known as the Blood Moon, this full moon is one of the most intense of the year. It accelerates whatever process of completing a particular chapter or cycle in your life you are engaged with. It is as if you are being cosmically pushed to the next level, ready or not. So do not take this time lightly but do some serious work around what needs to happen in your life. Remember that you cannot fix another’s issues, however you can hold prayer and space for them to find their way.

This is an important time to focus on your well bring and what brings you a sense of security. It is also conducive to opening more deeply to your intuition and the wisdom of your heart. You “know” emotionally what is right. Some letting go may be required, so don’t resist.

March 16-23

We are in a window of needing to slow down, review the past, and to contemplate and be present with whatever changes are happening whether initiated by us or someone else. Take your time with important decisions and choices that will greatly affect you or someone close to you. Post eclipse, you are half baked and need time to integrate and assimilate and understand on a deeper emotional level the path opening before you. There will be a time of more clarity and the signs and signals will be obvious when the timing is right.

Creativity and nurturing the ability to create, as well as honoring imagination and the inner world of dreams becomes important during this time. Trusting the heart and holding the container for all things about the heart is also a crucial part of the necessary self-care routine. Spiritual wisdom is the compass and the heart, the arrow pointing the way forward. The equinox brings a lighter energy and more optimism as it ushers in a new cycle opening more vision for the future.

March 24-31

Focus on what is grabbing your attention and ask why. Is it a challenge that has to be dealt with? Is it an opportunity that keeps coming around waiting for your decision? Is it a relationship issue that won’t leave you alone? Or is it an insight, an inspiration, a new dream or idea that is taking up emotional and mental real estate? Acknowledge they are poking and prodding you for a reason.

This is a good time to break a cycle or change a pattern especially if it has to do with love, how you give or receive it. During this process old wounds may still surface, however there is much support for graceful endings and inspiring beginnings with the full circle of the new moon and partial solar eclipse on the 29th ending a larger cycle we have been in for a year and a half.

This is also a time of integration, setting new goals based on the clarity of a new direction as well as values of the heart that have emerged during this time of deep healing. Be true to yourself and make choices based on what is truly aligned with that new path.
