Whether you're celebrating or sobbing after the recent election, the angels remind us that we can choose to live in faith or fear, and it is this which will determine our life experience far more than anyone or anything in the outside world. I'll offer stories and tips to help you live in love in a world of contrast.

Message from the Angels

My dear friends, we love you so very much,

We, in the heavens, have watched and loved humanity for centuries. We have seen governments come and go, countries form and dissolve, and entire continents rise and disappear. The love that sources universes remains constant. Only the forms change. This is the way it is and always will be as life itself continues its eternal evolution. Change is inevitable. Love is the constant.

So, for those of you who have been watching the world news with bated breath, remind yourself that whether your candidate won or lost, the love beneath all creation remains the same. As the ocean lives beneath all waves, so too love lives beneath all beings. You cannot control whether or not others bring love to the surface, but you have complete control over whether or not you allow it to flow freely in your own life. 

Regardless of the external, you can choose to live in faith or fear. You can live in faith of the Creator's love or in fear of its absence. You can empower what you love with your faith in one another or empower what you don't want with your fear. Each one of you gets to decide.

Before this life, you knew you would not embrace every ideology. Before your birth, you relished the idea of immersing yourselves in the contrast. You knew that in this great buffet of life, you would find your own unique perspective, your own values, your own goals, dreams, and desires. You knew that the contrast is what stimulates creation.  Often, as human beings, you wish everyone would think and behave in ways more closely aligned with your beliefs, but in truth, you would quickly become bored by the sameness. Many would lose the incentive to grow. Creation itself would slow to a crawl.

In an ideal world rooted only in love, you will be motivated to expand by exploring the contrasting ideas and desires within, but in your current world, dear ones, it is the contrast offered by others that stimulates growth, and each of you knew this before your birth. It is not the sameness that motivates expansion. It is your differences.  

Can you imagine if you ate your favorite food every single day of your life? It would be wonderful for a while, perhaps for years, but eventually, you would start to want something different. You would want to explore other flavors. You would like some flavors and not enjoy others, but you would expand your palette and learn what you personally enjoy.

So, as you witness governments come and go, pray, dear ones, for those who chose to play out their lessons in public. It is not an easy job. Can you imagine if you were to have the entire world watching your every thought, word, and deed, reacting to your every frustrated outburst, and analyzing your every conversation? Not many of you would be comfortable with such scrutiny.  So, whether or not your candidate won or lost, pray for the light of love to rise up within all beings. Pray that your leaders are blessed with wisdom. Pray for peace, love, and harmony, and then, most importantly of all, do your best to be that in your own lives. 

Be the peace. Be the kindness. Be ambassadors of love. Love who and what you authentically can, and turn the other cheek when you cannot. In your commitment to the vibration of love, a small group of individuals can create waves of kindness that influence life in a powerful and positive way. Aligned with the loving creator, you can influence so many and so much for the good. Lost in hatred or fear you have little effect in the scheme of eternity.

So many of you are afraid that if you pray for those you don't like, you will empower the darkness, but love can never call forth darkness. Love and prayer coax forth only light.

We in the heavens remember the truth of every human soul. We remember your loving heart even when you are lost in anger. We remember your hopeful heart when you are lost in sadness. We remember your courage in coming to earth even when you feel bound by fear. We see the truth of all things and all beings, and we focus on the light within every soul in an attempt to coax it forth, as surely as a parent who knows the goodness of their children would attempt to guide them back to that truth even when they stray.

Have compassion for those you don't understand.  Every person's perspective and truth is shaped by thousands of factors, including parents, teachers, siblings, media, life experience, and biases even from other lives. It is increasingly important upon your planet to live and let live. Accept yourselves, too, dear ones. Be kind to yourselves. Allow yourself your own unique point of view. You need not convince anyone else, nor do you need to agree with anyone else.

Live your personal values.  Look towards what and who is easy for you to love. It is in your vibration of love dear ones, you become part of the momentum towards a beautiful reality that you all truly wish to see in your world.

Message from Ann...

Hi Everyone,

After I quit engineering years ago, I became psychic in the window of a local metaphysical bookstore. A variety of people came in seeking readings, and very quickly, I was cast out of my engineering world of relative "sameness" and into a world of vastly differing perspectives. 

A few months into this new career, an agitated young man sat down for a quick reading. I had barely prayed when he interrupted me. "When am I going to get sex?" he demanded. I was in my thirties, and my first reaction was that I wanted to smack him. "GET sex?" I fumed inwardly. How about "share love?" I was filled with judgment.  I took a breath. I knew I had to calm myself to deliver a good reading.  

So, I shut my eyes, backed out of body more than usual, and let the angels do the talking. As always, they came through with a love way bigger than my own at the time. They acknowledged that while he wanted sex, he was craving love, attention, and acknowledgment and that he was not going to get that while living at home with his mother and feeling like a failure. I knew nothing about him. They gently and kindly pointed out his strong points and gave him guidance on places to look for work. 

He perked up, willing to do his "homework." Several months later, he came back. He had moved out of his mom's house, had a job, and was proud of it, but still wanted to know when he was going to "get sex." Angels being angels, they guided him kindly towards the next steps in developing his relationship skills.  I was in awe of their ability to see the nuggets of goodness beneath questions I felt completely appalled by.  It was a great lesson for me early in my new career. Let love speak, Ann. You'll learn. Love did feel better, although I continued to personally disagree with his priorities!

Over the last several decades of doing sessions I have heard so many diverse perspectives on life it would boggle your mind. The one thing that touches me in every case is how similar we really are in our essential desires. We all want the same basic things. We all want security, happiness, self-worth, whatever we consider to be abundance, and some form of love. We all want connection, truth, honesty, integrity. We all want peace and harmony deep down.  

We all feel lovely when we embrace our own values and horrible when we do not. We feel fantastic when we align with love and miserable the farther we stray from it.  The outside world has far less power over us than we might imagine. In 3D, of course, it influences us in a number of ways, but the more aligned we are with the vibration of love, the more spirit finds ways to help us navigate the external and fulfill our desires in harmony—in ways we might not even have anticipated. 

The election here in the US has come and gone. Half the people who wrote me were celebrating and the other half were mourning. Yet deep down, all want the same things. Can we all have the peace, prosperity, love, connection, and joy we are seeking? The angels say yes, but not if we give our power to the external. It has always been this way and always will. And it isn't an easy concept to embrace because none of us were raised with the energetic paradigm of life. We have been immersed in the 3D paradigm for centuries.

There will always be things in the world to celebrate, and—until every soul labors in love—there will be things so shocking they shake us.  But God is still God. The grass is still growing. The bees are still buzzing, and the Divine—the creator of universes is guiding us all one by one, soul by soul, to a greater reality. Everyone is on a path of growth. Some know it. Some don't. Nonetheless, we are all expanding.

So, how to navigate the challenges on earth and the perspectives that are not our own?  After all, there are wars raging and great divisions, even among family and friends, that have touched most of our lives in one way or another. In many cases, it seems that we have lost our innocence as a human race. But the angels remind us that everything is simply coming up and out into plain view. The ills of the world, the trafficking, the lies, etc., have sadly gone on for centuries, but now we have social media, cell phones, and easy ways to look at it all and share it. The world is not worse than it used to be. Instead, "all that has been hidden is being revealed," and not all of it is pretty. 

I did client sessions on election day, and focused on helping people with their human challenges. I didn't have time to watch the news, looked at the results briefly at night, and then went back to my emails.  There are people who are dealing with what I call real problems—the loss of a loved one, situations at work, financial challenges, health challenges. There are people whose homes... and loved ones were recently swept away in the floods.  To me, these things deserve more attention than the things I cannot influence. I have people to help, friends who need love, and family to care for. When the 3D world affects me, I listen to my guidance and deal with it in the present moment.  Seeing through heaven's eyes, I can no longer demonize or deify another human being. God is God. My relationship with the Divine is my highest priority.

So while in 3D terms it can seem like current events can make or break you—depending on your perspective—the angels encourage us to pray for all souls, to sit, breathe, and receive love often, to share love when we can, and to remember that with every choice we make, we are part of the eternal ongoing creation. 

We can't always change the world, but we can look for things to love and, in doing so, change our personal worlds. We can be the peace. We can be the souls we came to be and enjoy the results we came to enjoy.  

Here are a few tips on how to live in love in a world of contrast...

1.  Learn to Discern rather than Judge

It is easy to look at the ideologies or choices of others and fall into fast judgment or even despair. If someone doesn't see things as you do, it can be hard to understand why they think as they do. Nonetheless, after listening to human hearts for decades, I know that, for better or worse, everyone has reasons why they have come to their conclusions. They may not be your reasons. They may not make sense to you. But as the saying goes, it is hard to understand another until we walk miles in their shoes.

So instead of judging, far better to simply discern what and who belongs in your life and deserves your attention. The angels love the analogy of the buffet and use it with me often. They remind me I would not stand in front of foods I dislike and get upset. I would fill my plate with the things I enjoy.  In this buffet of life, we can do the same.

They have a little saying they've used for years:

Judgment says "no right to be."
Discernment says, "Not right for me."

2. Tune your Mind as if it were a Television

Most of us would not sit and hold a TV remote while watching a show that upsets us. Hopefully, you'd change the channel. We can do the same in life.  If you like the news, watch it and enjoy. If you can't stand it, turn it off and watch the eternal news—the changing of the seasons, the singing of the birds at dawn, the birth of babies, puppies, and new ideas. 

This is not putting your head in the sand and allowing darkness free reign. It is putting your heart in the light and robbing the darkness of the power and attention it want. It is how you stay in a space to receive higher guidance to empower the light. The most effective social workers, healers, and helping professionals I know realize that keeping their energy in a good space is essential to maintaining their service. 

When you keep your energy in a good space, you have more to give, more power in your prayers, and a greater ability to be the change. Turn away from what pulls you down.

Focus on what lifts you up. Fill your heart, and in that flow of love, you will be guided to be a powerful force of light and love on this planet.

3. Ask to see through God's eyes

The angels have coached me often to seek understanding before coming to a conclusion about anyone or anything. I pray often, "God help me see through your eyes." I may not always agree, but understanding breeds compassion. 

Years ago, when someone who was spiritually powerful got jealous of a friendship of mine and sent energies at me that were terrifying at first, the angels told me about this person's childhood abuse. I couldn't help but have compassion. Suddenly, the monstrous energy aimed at me looked like a child's cry. I prayed for this person's heart to be lifted. The nonsense stopped.  

Eternity marches on. Sometimes, the world conditions are exactly what we want. Sometimes, they're just the opposite. Whether recent events have caused you to celebrate or sob, God is still God. The bees are still buzzing. The grass is still growing. There are those laboring in light and love and those lost in darkness.

It is our task to live in a love that burns off any darkness that might try to infiltrate our lives. It is our work to keep our vibration in a space that helps us resonate with what we want to experience.  Rather than delegating the quality of our lives to the external, we can dive deep, align with the Divine, and in that energy be always guided, protected, and loved.
