Ascension Update: The Clashing of the Old and New, Sharon-Ann Riley, 17 August 2026

Dear Soul Family,

Over the weekend, did you feel like your equilibrium has been completely pulled out from under you? If you woke up feeling extreme vertigo, sudden nausea, a deep sense of dissociation, or a nervous system that feels entirely raw, you are far from alone.

Between a southern hemisphere coronal hole facing Earth, active incoming solar streams, ongoing seismic activity along the Ring of Fire, a string of global volcanic eruptions, and fluctuating electromagnetic pulses rippling through the planetary field as the Schumann resonance shifts wildly, the earth is purging. And when the earth moves, our physical vessels move right along with it.

Coming off the crest of the recent eclipse wave, and with our biological systems still navigating the tail end of that intense corridor while the early energetic frequencies of the upcoming September equinox portal begin to bleed in, many of us are standing right in the friction zone. Timelines are colliding. The old identity, which is the familiar and conditioned version of ourselves, is crashing directly into the frequency and reality of what we know we are deserving of.

And let’s be honest: it can be terrifying.

The Physics of the Friction and the Pressure Valve

When the macrocosm shifts so violently, the microcosm of our human vessel cannot help but mirror the pressure. We are living through a massive structural reorganization of planetary frequency, where the old paradigm is literally buckling under the weight of incoming light codes. This isn't just passive change; it is an active tearing away of the collective consensus reality to make room for a higher baseline.

This intense energetic friction creates a sort of cosmic bottleneck. The old world structure, built on survival, limitation, and historical trauma loops, is desperately trying to hold its shape, while the new timeline is pulling us forward with an undeniable magnetic force. Standing right in the crossfire of these two colliding realities can make your internal compass spin wildly out of control, leaving you feeling entirely unanchored as your energy field attempts to process dual timelines simultaneously.

When the External Doesn't Match and the Emotional Loop

There is a very specific kind of vulnerability that comes when your internal expansion outgrows your current external reality. When you know your worth and you know your frequency has shifted, but the physical mirror around you, whether it is showing up in health, finances, family dynamics, or life circumstances, hasn't caught up yet.

In those moments of intense mismatch, the nervous system panics and gets caught in an emotional loop. You feel entirely lost, untethered, spinning in a cognitive spiral where you can't seem to find an exit ramp. That feeling of being trapped in an emotional coil can make you want to reach backward, to clutch at old coping mechanisms, old patterns, and familiar habits that we know no longer serve us.

Reaching for what used to work only to find that it now makes you feel worse isn't a failure. It’s actually proof that you can no longer fit inside your past. You’ve outgrown the container.

The Ascension Reality: Living Extensions of Source and the Akashic Records

For Starseeds, Empaths, and Sensitives who have been walking this awakening path for what can feel like an absolute lifetime, moments like this bring a deeper existential exhaustion. We look at the grid, we feel the collective pain, we track the shifts, and we wonder why the physical reality feels so agonizingly slow to reflect our inner evolution.

What we must remember is that we are not merely observers of this planetary shift; we are living extensions of Source and of the cosmic records themselves, known as the Akashic Records. The Akasha is the great energetic library of all universal memory, containing the vibrational blueprints, histories, and potentials of every soul and realm. When we talk about being extensions of these records, we mean that every memory, every historical imprint, and every template of evolution is actively pulsing within our biological and energetic architecture. When the earth purges, our very cells are translating, transmuting, and updating those records in real time.

For a long time, we tried to ascend around our physical reality, escaping the density. Now, the work is about anchoring the divine into the dense. To do that, the system sometimes has to hit a hard floor.

This weekend’s heavy crash, which was that total depletion where the body and mind felt like they simply had to shut down, wasn't a breakdown in the traditional sense. It was a structural necessity. The physical vessel and the emotional body had to hit absolute baseline, dropping every remaining vestige of the old operational system so that you could finally clear the static and move forward in a radically different direction. You had to touch the bottom to realize the old floor no longer exists.

Generational Purging and the Bath Bomb Effect

Beyond our immediate physical bodies, a massive generational, ancestral, and collective purging is happening right now. We are walking libraries of bloodline history, carrying the unspoken grief, survival tactics, and limitation loops of those who came before us. But as we sit in the fire of our own healing, we aren't just cleaning up our own house. We are actively rewriting that entire history at its root.

Think of it like a bath bomb dropping into water. When you finally allow yourself to feel, to process, and to release an old generational burden, the healing fizzes and expands everywhere, instantly permeating the entire field. It bubbles backward into your ancestral lineage, lifting the heavy weight from those who walked before you, and it ripples forward into every strand of DNA connected to your name. Not only that, it touches all the past lives you have experienced on this plane and across every other dimensional plane, snapping those old timeline loops shut.

The old pattern stops with you, and in its place, a vibrant wave of liberation is sent shooting through the entire cosmic web. The more fiercely you choose to put yourself first and love yourself through the exhaustion, the more that frequency of joy and abundance spews out into the collective.

Asking the Hard Question: Are You Allowing It In?

So now, we have to pause and ask ourselves: What does that mean for you? Why is it feeling so slow to manifest in your physical reality?

Ask yourself honestly: Are you truly feeling deserving of it? Or are you still trapped in the old martyr cycle of thinking that you need to do it for others and take care of everyone else first?

The universe is giving us a clear and resounding message: Through you living in joy, through you having fun in your life, that is the way forward now.

Translating the Shift: Current Physical Ascension Symptoms and Their Emotional Clearings

When the energy moves this intensely, amplified by active solar streams, coronal holes, and the compounding portals of the eclipse corridor colliding with the early precursor waves of the September equinox, our biological machinery bears the brunt of the upgrade. Kundalini energy is completely lit right now, moving like liquid fire up the spine and putting our entire nervous and energetic architecture through a massive crucible.

If your body feels like it is running a marathon while standing still, you may be experiencing some of these common physical integration markers and the emotional or energetic releases attached to them:

Digestive, Core and Upper GI Purging

Sudden nausea, an upset tummy, bloating, gassiness, or diarrhea frequently hit as a heavily reactive solar plexus and the gut brain process and release stored tension. You might also notice temporary fluid retention or weight holding around the middle and thighs, which is often affectionately called the Buddha belly or Buddha chest as the body builds energetic cushions for expanding light codes. Alongside this, acid reflux, a dry cough, waves of unquenchable thirst, and dry mouth indicate that old words, unexpressed truths, and emotional acidity are burning away from the throat and upper chakras.

Craniofacial, Dental and Sinus Clearing

Sinus pressure, persistent teeth pain, and gum inflammation continue as the head centers upgrade. TMJ tightness, bruxism or teeth grinding, shifting teeth, and bite misalignment speak directly to an energetic recalibration. The physical jaw is literally refusing to bite down on old, outdated paradigms or compressed structures any longer, reshaping itself to match a new foundation of expression.

Cardiovascular and Nervous System Flutters

Elevated blood pressure, unexpected heart palpitations, and sudden thymus flutters occur as your heart center recalibrates to a higher frequency field and channels rising Kundalini currents.

Head, Ear and Vision Shifts

Extreme vertigo, intense head pressure, persistent dizziness, and next-level tinnitus or ringing in the ears happen as your upper chakras clear out static and your balance centers recalibrate to new dimensional frequencies. On the visual front, dry, sensitive eyes and sudden eye floaters are common as your perception lenses upgrade.

Skeletal, Joint and Extremity Aches

Joint pain, stiffness, and deep fatigue are especially concentrated in the hands, feet, and neck. The minor chakras in the palms and soles are getting a heavy upgrade as our tactile connection to the Earth deepens. Discomfort in the upper back and shoulders reflects the heavy burden of carrying outdated responsibilities, while lower back, hip, and knee pain point to ancestral survival patterns, foundational security fears, and the physical weight of moving forward onto an entirely new timeline.

The Ascension Flu and Temperature Swings

You may sweep through cycles of feeling freezing cold one minute and burning up the next, accompanied by hot flashes, night sweats, and overall body aches.

Circadian Disruption and Vivid Dreamscapes

With solar disturbances and coronal holes throwing our natural rhythms out of whack, the circadian system is struggling to find its footing amidst the heavy cosmic weather. This results in waking up repeatedly in the dead of night, frequently between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM, or falling into a broken rhythm of sleeping for two hours, waking up, and repeating. This is paired with wildly vivid, cinematic dreams as your consciousness processes multidimensional updates while you rest.

The Planetary Grid and Multidimensional Symbiosis

If you’ve ever wondered why you can feel a volcanic eruption or an earthquake happening tens of thousands of miles away, or why a shift in the southern or northern hemisphere registers as pressure in your upper or mid chakras, it is because of how deeply interconnected we are becoming with Mother Gaia.

This symbiosis is evolving. As our biological forms upgrade, our nervous systems are plugging directly into the planetary grid. Depending on where seismic or elemental releases occur on the planet, our energy bodies mirror them by processing the earth's pressure points through our own meridians and chakras.

And it doesn’t stop at Earth's atmosphere. For many Starseeds, Empaths, and Sensitives whose consciousness resonates with stellar origins, whether the Pleiades, the Lyran belts, or beyond, the web extends even further.

When solar activity, flares, or cosmic currents ripple through specific galactic quadrants, your subtle energy body feels the resonance there too. We are learning just how vast, woven, and multidimensional our true anatomy really is.

Navigating the Fray

If your nerves feel frayed today and the emotional loops feel relentless, give yourself permission to stop fighting the current. When timelines clash, trying to force clarity or control the external creates more friction.

Soften the Vertigo

Ground your physical body. Feel your feet flat on the floor, sip cool water, and let yourself rest. Your body is integrating immense energetic, elemental, and electromagnetic pressure.

Release the Old Grip

Notice when you are trying to force a square peg into a round hole just for the sake of comfort. Acknowledge the fear, thank your nervous system for trying to protect you, and gently let it go.

Hold the Line

You don’t have to figure out the whole external puzzle today. Your only job right now is to stay anchored in the truth of who you are becoming, even when the scenery around you hasn't caught up yet.

The wave is cresting, and the old structures are clearing out to make room for what is actually aligned. Be gentle with your body, hold space for your humanness, and remember that feeling untethered often means you are floating free of an anchor that was holding you down.
